After some astronomical amount of $ for a couple of pies and drinks we didnt get any info so decided to check out the road ourselves. We passed a young family in a 4wd as we turned into the road towards Point Kedron who said the road was fine so off we went.
Lucky enough we were given the last so called spot which cost us $23 and directions to get there. Of course I missed the turnoff to where our camp was meant to be so pulled up at the next spot where the gatekeepers wife pointed us to a spot that was going to test my reversing skills getting in between 2 vans head to toe on the side of a sandy hill. Eventually we got ourselves positioned of course with the help of some neighbour with nothing else to do but get in the way. The side of the hill was that steep we had to bury the wheels on one side of the van and chock up the other side to try and get it near level but successful in the end.
Our new neighbours in front of us seemed very nice chatting away until hubby mentioned they were Jehovas Witness, let's just say it was time to explore on our bikes and escape any ideas they had of preaching to us.
Cape Keraudren is a large reserve along the coastline with a few spots for campers by different beaches so we decided to check them all out on our bikes and of course Murph had to do a bit of shell hunting plus it was a great way of getting away from the joho salesman. The beach was near deserted except for an older couple taking a walk.
Time seemed to fly after we rode and walked and searched and explored that we found ourselves riding back to the light of the vans in the dark while the kangaroos checked us out.

The joho's were really worried about us seeing that we had been gone for so long and being dark who knows what sort of wild animals could have been lurking in the shadows but we reassured them all was good and said goodnight moving inside away from the biting insects.
Next morning up we got, had our usual brekky, checked out the lovely view for a while then time to move onto the next spot (80 Mile Beach) hopefully away from the mozzies, midgies and johos.
